Little Si Scramble – 8/28/2018

Little Si is an all time favorite of mine! It’s super close: I can see the route as I write this on my dining room table. It’s super fun: there are plenty of easy and not-so-easy options. It’s quick: you can easily get to the top within an hour of scrambling, and then it’s a quick walk out. No nonsense fun.

I went up with Mary and Chris and we did some exploring. I ended up on what I thought was at least 4th class terrain. Some of the moves felt very climby. We were scrambling, so I bailed when I felt uncomfortable.

On our way up Little Si. This is one of my absolute favorite scrambles. Little did you know that such cool rock was just a few minutes off the trail!
Chris on some more sketch scramble terrain. Chris and I did some exploring on more adventurous routes. I would argue this is 4th class here. What you don’t see below is some pretty decent exposure, and the holds are pretty crappy.

View from the route of the South Fork Snoqualmie valley. This view never gets old. This is home for me.
