Fabulous scramble in a fabulous location! 3 hours to the top, 1.5 hours down. Easy and fun.
8:36am – depart lower trailhead at 2600′
8:55am – ice axes and helmets at 4500′
10:55am – look at the route over to Mt. Washington, notch at 5600′
11:45am – summit at 5914′
12:20pm – depart summit
12:40pm – back at 4500′, doff ice axes and helmets
13:50pm – back at the cars
Consistent snow on the lower trail at 3300′
Couldn’t make the hairpin turn on the road to the upper trailhead (at ~3000′) – it was snowed in
